HIYA Translateme
TranslateMe, developed by Kastech under HIYA Nigeria, is a digital translation hub for indigenous languages across Nigeria. Built with KAS Framework v3.1, it supports unlimited dialect uploads, fiat token access, and 99.98% uptime, promoting language preservation through smart automation.
TranslateMe is a specialized subdomain of the HIYA Nigeria platform designed to promote linguistic inclusion by enabling users to download transcription documents and translate them into various Nigerian indigenous languages. The platform fosters cultural preservation by providing open access to translation tasks and resources for researchers, language experts, and volunteers across the country.
The Challenge
Before TranslateMe, there was no centralized or scalable system dedicated to the structured translation of indigenous Nigerian languages. Most translation efforts were done manually, often disconnected from one another, leading to duplication and limited accessibility.
HIYA Nigeria required a dedicated digital platform that could manage multiple users, handle dialect diversity, automate translation requests, and maintain data integrity across all states and local government areas. The system also needed to be secure, responsive, and capable of managing large file uploads from different contributors while offering a simple onboarding process and clear token-based access control.
What did Kastech do
Kastech developed the HIYA Nigeria TranslateMe Portal using the KAS Framework v3.1, optimized for high-speed performance and multilingual scalability.
